Writing Memories of the Merritt Parkway

Make a resolution in 2009 to come to the Bridgeport Public Library Memoir Writing Class!  Our first class is on Saturday  January 10 at 2:pm and will be a special presentation by writer and filmmaker Lisa Seidenberg.  The film is only a half hour, but we will have a discussion and talk after the film.

“The Road Taken…The Merritt Parkway”, a new half-hour documentary by Connecticut independent filmmaker Lisa Seidenberg gives us special insight into the making of the Merritt Parkway, and the tribulations of building the highway during the economic hard times of the 30’s.

We will have a discussion of memoir writing and hear some of our memoir writers own memories of the Merritt Parkway and other recollections.
